Patiohawk - "So Long" Video, Smiling Buddha 07.20

A fresh, new band from Toronto; Patiohawk blends indie rock with the blues. They released an album last year titled “Toastmaker” which contains the track “So Long”. This track features a nice acoustic riff. They might be goin’ for a “Going to California” by Zeppelin vibe on this track. It’s a mellow and conscious track which would give the album variety along with their more upbeat blues rock tunes. Patiohawk plays the Smiling Buddha on July 20th with Piines, The Micronite Filters and Nick Vescio. – Kris Gies

Kapri - Soulful Dance Single "Deeper"

Born in Edmonton, now living in Toronto; Kapri is a soulful dance artist known for her passionate performances and show stopping charisma. Last year she released her first single “Deeper”. The video is shot in a cool area of Toronto around Dundas/Bathurst known for its international food stalls and shows Kapri showing off her style and dance moves with the local crowd. The tune has a real throwback vibe to 90’s RnB with inspirations from Janet Jackson and Kylie Minogue. All around great track/video worthy of radio spins around the country. – Kris Gies

London Stone - "Neon Blind" EP, Bovine 07.18

London Stone are an interesting Toronto 4 piece rock band. On the surface I hear alternative rock with a hint of grunge. They have dance elements to their tunes as well which can be heard in the track “In Your Head”. The verses especially have a groovy style to them. The chorus comes in with a more epic arena rock sound. This tune can be heard on their “Neon Blind” EP. See London Stone perform live at the Bovine Sex Club on July 18th. – Kris Gies

Joan Smith & the Jane Does - "Normalize" Music Video Premiere!

Joan Smith and her new band came in hot last month with the release of their debut EP “Normalize.” The title track is an absolute ripper with crisp electric guitars, tight rhythm throughout and vocals that go from slow n’ eerie to completely wailing as the song progresses. Today The Deli is pleased to premiere the official music video for this track. I’d say if you’re being followed by a strange hoodlum in the night then this would be the tune you need to fire up and chase down that sumbitch yourself. Don’t fuck with Joan Smith and the Jane Does. Listen to “Normalize” on Spotify or buy the album here. – Kris Gies
