Tangina Stone plays Joe's Pub on 05.24 + announces 'Elevate' LP

While the term “singer/songwriter” may connote such masters as Sufjan Stevens, Brooklyn-via-Ohio’s Tangina Stone radiates the troubadour spirit in her girl-group poetry. Favorite quip: “Your love so bright you're giving me a suntan.” Her EP The Fall highlights both the singer's colloquial talent as well as her pipes, while her latest remix of single 'Don't' (video streaming below) interestingly steers towards soulful, electronic hip hop.  The Brooklyn-based singer will play for the first time music from her new album "Elevate" coming this summer on Monster/Empire. - Brian Chidester

LAURA COLE - YOU ALWAYS HURT THE ONES YOU LOVE

Laura Cole...the sultry voice from Ancaster, Ontario has released a brand new track titled "You Always Hurt The Ones You Love". It is based off a poem with the same title written by Amy Winehouse and featured in the documentary "Amy". This poem hit home with Laura and her band so she took it upon herself to add a second verse and bridge to complete this wonderful tune. Laura debuted this song and video last Friday at Mill's Hardware in Hamilton. All the proceeds from the show went to the Amy Winehouse Foundation. You can learn more at www.amywinehousefoundation.org. Enjoy the video! - Kris Gies
