ENTRANCE and Bill Callahan Play Starline Social Club in Oakland - 2/4

Don't miss ENTRANCE at Starline Social Club in Oakland on Saturday, February 4th w/ Bill Callahan in support of his upcoming album, Book of Changes.

ENTRANCE's Book of Changes (out Feb. 24th) is a poetic song cycle about the seasons of the heart, tracing an emotional journey through longing and emptiness to peace and redemption. The record achieves a seamless melding of the personal, political and philosophical, a vibrant document of an artist hitting a creative stride and discovering an expansive new sound. The first single "Always the Right Time" takes the same energy of ENTRANCE's protest track, Not Gonna Say Your Name and points that energy towards the positive, grabbing life by the horns and celebrating what's most important: "It's always the right time for love".

New Track: "Daylight" - Shadow Band

Mike Bruno and his compatriots, who are now better know as Shadow Band, have been crafting and refining their musical skills for years now around Philly. And with their signing to Mexican Summer, who will be releasing the group's first full-length, Wilderness Of Love, due out February 24, it sounds like they are ready to cast their psych-folk net upon a larger audience. Below is the second offering from their forthcoming LP, titled "Daylight," and they'll be heading out on tour next month in support of the new record. You can experience them live in town on February 25 at Baird Mansion Atrium, which will be their Philly record release show.

Baked to release new LP "Farnham" on February 24th at Shea Stadium

A few years back The Deli covered the release of Baked's previous album, Debt, at Shea Stadium. The Brooklyn-based psych rockers will return to the legendary Bushwick venue on February 24th to release their brand-new record, titled Farnham in memory of frontman RJ Gordon's late college roommate.

The new album has plenty of the shoegazey haze that fans of Debt will love, though it's a bit darker and refined. The supercharged sound -- reminiscent of My Bloody Valentine and Gordon's other band, Titus Andronicus -- comes through on tracks like "Danelectroladyland" (streaming below.)

Supporting acts Honduras, Grass Is Green, and Hounds will join Baked at their record release show. - Will Sisskind

Joel Gion Release New Single - Tomorrow

San Francisco based musician, Joel Gion has released a new single entitled, Tomorrow. This new neo psych pop track is a great new addition to his music catalog and rock and roll lineage. We love this song's rebellious and super cool attitude where Joel sings:

"Don't need a high place in a lowdown world
I'll keep moving on
Where I can be myself and here's something else
I'm doing nothing wrong
Seems everything is brought to extremes
Just to keep people runnin around..."

Tomorrow was written by Gion where he performed vocal, rhythm guitars, maracas and tambourine. The was produced and mixed by Collin Hegna at Revolver Studios in Portland, OR. Hegna also played bass on this track. Paul Dillon played guitars and Brian Gardner performed on drums.

It’s always a pleasure to hear new music from a San Francisco icon! Take a listen and support independent artists!
