EDM artist Eli Tyler drops "Lover"

“Lover,” the latest release from NY-based EDM artist Eli Tyler combines the pop-writing prowess that Tyler has become known for, with creative off-beat sampling to produce a massively catchy track that still feels true to itself. Tyler’s raspy, understated vocals play deliciously against the full force of the visceral hooks in his choruses, resulting in a tune that will pitch a tent between your ears and not budge anytime soon after. New Pretty Words EP Available for Streaming & Purchase

Free-flowing and, at times, funky, emotive rock radiates from Pretty Words recently released self-titled EP. Available on cassette via Melted Tapes, the EP embodies an earnest, gritty sonic texture, stewing in consciousness while retaining an ability to cut loose. Dueling stuck-in-your-own-head lyricism but looking-to-break-out instrumentation pull from both directions, and the listener wins. You can catch Pretty Words this Friday, April 14 at The Fat House with Good Looking Friends, Stay Inside, Midnight in Rome, and Michael Poggioli.

New Track: "You Are Not Your Mind" - Eric Slick

Palisades, the forthcoming album from Eric Slick (Dr. Dog, Lithuania), will be released via EggHunt Records on April 21. Concise pockets of percussion unite with keys, pacing the album’s latest single “You Are Not Your Mind”. The song’s pensive, open-air aesthetic rejuvenates, fitting the recent pleasant arrival of spring. Slick will be heading out on a slew of tour dates with Sinkane, starting next week.

NJ-based group, Rhea, crafts delicate bedroom indie pop

NJ-based bedroom indie pop band, Rhea, craft songs the ring like delicate love notes--unassuming, but incredible poignant. Featuring soft, feminine vocals and un-fussy guitar ornamentation, there's something immediately compelling about the band's songwriting. Lyrics like "I know that you want me / for my body / but I want you / in a different kind of way" showcase how Rhea's strength is in their symplicity, and their innate ability to tap into something universal, effortlessly.  Check out "3am" by Rhea streaming below.-Olivia Sisinni
