New Music Video: "Body Says" - Void Vision

A new video for Void Vision's "Body Says" has arrived. The lead single, featured on Shari Vari's forthcoming album The Other, is due out later this year via Mannequin Records. Directed by Hanna Hamilton & Floor Eleven, a quartet of white-coated, vampire-esque individuals are onlookers to a bit of tantalizing entertainment. A hypnotic, danceable darkness consumes as a whole lotta freakiness falls under the spell of the music.

"A claustrophobic ode to physical and mental confines. Dark voguing, undulating bodies, DIY surgery and the increasing sensory stimulation compels the demonic watchers to become ravenous and bloodthirsty."

New Track: "Body Says" - Void Vision

Flesh Prison Records recently emerged, releasing a compilation with 10% of its digital proceeds going to MusiCares. Void Vision is on the roster, along with notables like Ariel Pink and Mac Demarco, and a new track, “Body Says,” is featured on the release. Percussion and synth merge into a slithering, dance-inducing, darkwave trance. Allow your body’s natural instincts to takeover, and embrace the dimly-lit get down. You can catch Void Vision's Shari Vari deejaying at Voltage Lounge on Saturday, November 3 as part of Spellbound’s Extended Halloween Edition.

New Music Video: "The Source" - Void Vision

Smokey, shadowy synths come with a submissive wrapped in cellophane; the recently unearthed video for “The Source” by Void Vision visualizes the mysterious, edgy momentum that Shari Vari creates. Found on her latest LP Sub Rosa (Mannequin Records), the song’s alluring yet creepy vibe comes to life via haunting keys, generating a hyperactive tumultuous tale. Capturing a sinister, spiritual splitting, the video confounds with its perplexing optics. You can catch Void Vision tomorrow night at Johnny Brenda’s with ADULT and Ritual Howls.

Weekend Warrior, December 23 - 25

The hypnotic, slithering, synth-laced electro-pop of Shari Vari, a.k.a. Void Vision, cerebrally slices. Tonight, that ruminating, adrenaline-activating, cold-wave creeps into Kung Fu Necktie. While the haunting suspense sends shivers up one’s spine, the warm ripple of rhythm radiates internal warmth. This evening’s bill, which also features the pulsating EDM beats of Dan Shields, a.k.a. Speaking Parts, as well as a DJ set from the heart-pounding hyper kinetic Deflector, serves as a benefit for the victims of art collective Oakland warehouse space Ghost Ship fire that killed 36 people. Embrace the twisted grooves, while giving back. Kung Fu Necktie 1250 N. Front St., 10:30pm, $7, 21+ - Michael Colavita

New Track: "Negative Space" (Void Vision Remix) - Technophobia

Void Vision contributed a remix to Technophobia's 12" "Negative Space" single via Working Order Records. 100% of proceeds will be going to Life Pieces To Masterpieces, "a safe sanctuary for hundreds of African American young men and boys growing up in Washington, DC’s most poverty-stricken and volatile neighborhoods." The quaking percussion and ominous stir of synth aid in empowering the vocals, while creating a danceable track. Void Vision will be perform this evening at Kung Fu Necktie with Harsh Vibes and Pallbearer. (Photo by Woven In)
