Oceanography Warships and Magic Fight at the Elbo Room Tomorrow Night - 9/24

The Elbo Room is showcasing a strong and enticing line up tomorrow night. Popular local band, Oceanography will be headlining a night of underground indie rock. The new intense experimental rock wonder duo, Magic Fight and Los Angeles indie pop band, Warships will be supporting them, making this a bill a well curated line up. All the bands have really smooth and emotive, experimental and alternative styles. They will all flow really well together. If you're into great music without too much ego or pretention, make sure you catch this show. These bands are great at what they do.

You can find more info and RSVP to this event here.

Oceanography EP Release at Hemlock Tavern, Dec. 13

Oakland-based Oceanography's EP Parachutes of Plenty, was released today on iTunes and Bandcamp. The project of Brian Kelly (Disclosure: Kelly is the East Bay Express' art director and my colleague), Oceanography combines the depressive folk of Low, the gloom pop of Echo and the Bunnymen, and indie rock -- circa early 2000s Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where Kelly used to live.

Catch Oceanography live at its record release show at Hemlock Tavern on Thursday, Dec. 13 at 9 p.m., with openers Swells and Wilding.
