EZTV unveils new video for 'Reason to Run,' tours & plays Bowery on 12.07

Here's something our many readers into dreamy music enjoy: EZTV's new video for single 'Reason to Run.' The camera follows a cowboy lonesomely exploring New York City - is he a Trump voter? That's not what the video is about (of course he is!), rather, it's about looking at the city with new eyes. After touring for most of the fall (in Europe too!) the band is currently taking a deserved two week break before embarking on the final leg of their tour, which will culminate in a performance at the Bowery Ballroom on 12.07.

Out In The Streets Festival comes to Ridgewood, Queens on 7/16 and 7/17

Whoever said Queens isn’t cool (hey! it's the new Brooklyn!) surely must not have heard of the Out In The Streets Festival coming to the Onderdonk House in Ridgewood for its fourth year on July 16-17.  Filled with some of our favorite local artists, such as The So So Glos and Frankie Rose, the festival is primarily a rock'n'roll fest. Bands will be playing with a backdrop of art, food and the Ridgewood market.  We’ve prepared a playlist to give a taste of the artists playing this weekend, but be sure to head over to the Out In The Streets festival to hear them for yourself. - Madeleine Grossman

EZTV unveils single 'High Flying Faith' from upcoming LP + plays The Bell House on 07.15

As further proof that youngsters, at some point, tend to "become" their parents, Brooklyn trio EZTV seems to have transictioned to a revival tinged, but richer and more vibrant sound, directly inspired to the psychedelic pop of the '60s. New single "High Flying Faith" sounds like a tribute to The Byrds, while maintaining a fresh and modern sound. The bright, chiming tone of the guitars is a striking new element, while the guest vocals from Jenny Lewis, whom the band will be supporting on tour this summer, integrate Ezra Tenenbaum's already dreamy melodies in ways that scream "Flower Power!" EZTV will be playing the Bell House on July 15th in support of Miracle Legion and Out in the Streets Festival on July 16th before heading out with Lewis. Their album High In Place will be released on September 30th via Captured Tracks. - John Honan

We added this song to The Deli's playlist of Best psych rock/pop songs by emerging NYC artists - check it out!

EZTV talks about pedals + tours with Jacco Gardner and DINNER

Ezra Tenenbaum used to write about guitar pedals for our Delicious Audio blog. We were pleasantly surprised to see his new band EZTV signed with super buzzworthy Brooklyn label Captured Tracks (home to notable artist such as Mac DeMarco, DIIV, Widowspeak and Wild Nothing among others). Since we had his email, we thought it was time to ask him a few questions about his favorite pedals… check out the Q&A on Delicious Audio. The band is about to release their debut album and is currently on a week long tour with Jacco Gardner and DINNER.

EZTV unveils single 'Soft Tension' + tours North America

Many signs seem to point to trio EZTV as the NYC band of the upcoming summer of 2016, their laid back, jangly and dreamy sound functioning as a perfect background for outdoors activities - and traveling. Their label Captured Tracks (home to masters of dreaminess like Mac DeMarco, DIIV and  and Widowspeak) just unveiled new single 'Soft Tension" (streaming), from the upcoming LP 'Calling Out," which entertains in gently psychedelic ways. With a sound partly reminiscent of '80s band Rain Parade and other belonging to the Paisley Underground movement, this song is the sonic equivalent to a couple of puffs of weed (without being illegal, anywhere). What's not to like? EZTV is currently on a North American tour which will bring them back home on June 21st for a show at the Mercury Lounge.
