Weekend Warrior, March 15 - 17

Tonight, Boot & Saddle hosts a benefit for Erika Almirón, Democrat for City Council. The trio of Yarrow addresses the agitation and frustration over societal shortcomings and the divide that currently serves as the status quo. A noise-inflected, raw, post-punk approach creates a formidable tone, pulling you into the group’s chaotic vortex. However, within that bombarding storm of sound, a personal fire burns, and the fuzzy-friction of a heavy groove results. This evening, they will be joined by the cathartic outpouring of Joey Doubek and Ashley Arnwine, a.k.a. Pinkwash, with Pancho Cuacuil completing the lineup. – Michael Colavita

Debut Yarrow EP Available for Streaming & Purchase

A Mild Circus, the debut EP from Philly trio Yarrow, is out now via Get Better Records. A fierce, menacing, post-punk blitz sears into your ears. Tracked and mixed at the Headroom with Kyle Pulley, Mark Watter, and Jackie Milestone, there’s a jarring rumbling that immediately grabs one’s focus. However, that power is refined and utilized creating impactful narratives with rippling societal implications.

New Track: "Rescind" - Yarrow

A Mild Circus, the debut EP from the trio of Yarrow (which features member of Great Weights an King Azaz), is slated for release on February 15 via Get Better Records. Its lead single, “Rescind,” opens by initiating a sense of a noise-accented tension. Pointing out the misplaced malice of those dispersing negative actions and attitudes, it notes the clear discrepancy in ideological goals and perspectives between the aggressors and their victims. You can find Yarrow this Thursday, January 17 at Hubris House, as part of a lineup that also includes Absinthe Father and Fox Hollow.

Yarrow

Yarrow released a new album via Manic Static earlier this month called “Cluster". This is the ethereal ambient music mixed with dreamy bedroom folk, and field recordings of Devin Shaffer. “Cluster" is her third full-length release and perhaps her most fully realized.
