New Caracara EP Available for Streaming & Purchase

Will Yip's Memory Music recently dropped Better, the new Caracara EP. The three-song collection is intimately brought to life through setting-shaping lyricism. Compact instrumentation builds and bursts putting a spectrum of emotions on full display. You can catch the band's EP release show at Everybody Hits on Friday, May 3, brought to you by Home Outgrown Presents. (Photo by Emily Dubin)

New Track: "Better" - Caracara

Caracara is getting ready to release its new EP, Better, digitally (March 29) and on vinyl (April 14) via Memory Music. The record label is run by producer extraordinaire Will Yip, who also sat behind the boards for these latest batch of recordings. The album opener and title track laments over past memories before unleashing a blissfully cathartic conclusion. Full of feels and angst, the Philly quartet's single also features Mannequin Pussy's Marisa Dabice on backing vocals. (Photo by Ashley Gellman)

Debut Caracara LP Available for Streaming & Purchase

Square Peg Round Hole's Carlos Pacheco-Perez and Sean Gill have join forces with W.C. Lindsay's Will Lindsay and George Legatos to form Caracara. Moving from delicate, baroque compositions to more epic, post-rock crescendos and peaks, while still traversing the shadowier, more sensitive terrains of alt-rock/pop, the quartet's diverse collection of tunes can all be found on the group's debut LP Summer Megalith, which is now available via Flower Girl Records, the indie label of Sorority Noise's Cam Boucher. Caracara will also be celebrating the album's arrival this Wednesday, September 27 at Philly DIY space Everybody Hits with locals So Totally, Sixteen Jackies, and Atlanta's World Greatest Dad. New Music Video: "Glacier" - Caracara

Summer Megalith, the forthcoming debut album from Caracara (which pairs W.C. Lindsay compatriots William Lindsay and George Legatos with Sean Gill and Carlos Pacheco-Perez of Square Peg Round Hole), will be released on September 22 via Flower Girl Records. Directed by Emily Dubin, the music video for “Glacier” captures a sense of intimacy amid performance. Momentous emotives and matriculating instrumentation build up to anthemic status, filtered through a nightly neon glow. The quartet will be celebrating the allbum's arrival with a record release show on Wednesday, September 27 at Everybody Hits, supported by So Totally, Sixteen Jackies, and Worlds Greatest Dad.
